Balancing of Teams

  • After teams are initially assembled, the players will be notified of the next ice time by either a coach or the convenor.
  • There will then be a series of head-to-head exhibition games within each division. White vs. White, Red vs. Red to evaluate how similar the teams are in terms of skill.
  • We will be looking more at the play from blue line to blue line than actual score as a 5-2 game could have the losing team out shooting and/or out chancing the winning team.
  • We will make every attempt to ensure balanced teams before the season begins.
  • Expect some player movement after the balancing games. Please respect the Convenor decision’s as they are being made for the benefit of an entire division. They will not make those decisions without serious consideration.
